ABC World is recommended for children 3-10 years old.What are the multiple intelligences?
They are the 8 intelligences defined in Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences. They are: Linguistic, Logical, Naturalistic, Visual, Musical, Kinesthetic, Intrapersonal and Interpersonal intelligence.What are ABC World "worlds" and how many are there?
The worlds are virtual spaces for learning and exploration, where the PleIQ companion can move and interact with various play and exercise elements. There are a total of 8 worlds, one for each intelligence. In each world, children can only access activities and games related to the intelligence that it belongs to.What are the "portals" in the worlds?
Portals are elements in the worlds that give access to educational activities or mini games related to each intelligence. By entering them, you can access learning experiences in 3D, augmented reality, virtual reality and / or mixed reality.How are coins obtained?
Coins are earned each time a learning activity or mini game is completed. Coins can also be collected by exploring worlds. The more you play the activities and the better the results obtained, the more coins your child will earn. The coins obtained belong to each profile and are not combined among different profiles.Where can I use the coins?
Coins are necessary to buy items for pets, especially food that must be given frequently.What are "passports" and how do I get them?
Passports are a functionality that allows you to transport yourself “by air” between worlds. Each activity gives you a passport when you complete it the first time.With the passport, it is not necessary to get out of a world and walk to the portal of that activity, since you can take a plane and descend by parachute right in the respective portal. Collect them all and use them to go wherever you want.

Who designed the ABC learning activities?
All learning activities at ABC World were created by teachers and specialists in early education, and were validated or tested by children in the classroom, to ensure that the experiences are fun, age-appropriate, and that they meet learning objectives.What pedagogical approaches does ABC World use?
ABC World incorporates various theories and frameworks. Mainly, it is based on game-based learning, considers the Theory of Multiple Intelligences, follows the guidelines of the Universal Design for Learning, and the Marzano-Kendall Taxonomy.Is Augmented Reality beneficial for children?
Yes, there are multiple studies that demonstrate the benefits of using Augmented Reality in Education at all ages, and there are also many studies that demonstrate its benefits in early education.For example, various authors have found that this technology improves long-term retention (Radu, 2014), improves motivation and learning performance (2017), favors collaborative learning (Santos et al., 2014), improves the learning curve(Diegmann et al., 2015), helps children visualize complex learning concepts (Phon, Ali, & Halim, 2014), allows individualized learning experiences (Bacca, et al., 2014), encourages the Constructivist approach ( Fernando, et al., 2015) and facilitates applying the approach of learning by playing and active learning (Prendes, 2015), among others.
In the specific area of using augmented reality in early education, research has also grown in recent years, showing significant evidence of its benefits. One example is the study by Safar, A., & Al-Yousefi, Z. (2017). "The Effectiveness of Using Augmented Reality Apps in Teaching the English Alphabet to Kindergarten Children: A Case Study in the State of Kuwait". Eurasia Journal of Mathematics, Science & Technology Education, 13 (2), 417–440. In this study, the authors randomly selected a sample of 42 preschool-age children, divided them into two groups, one which continued their educational process in a traditional way (control group), and another group where teachers introduced the use of augmented reality in their daily activities (experimental group). The results showed a statistically significant difference in alphabet learning in favor of the experimental group, with a strong linear correlation between the time spent in the classroom on interactive learning activities and the result in the knowledge assessments specific to the curriculum. This result is consistent with other similar studies carried out in the last 5 years, not only covering pre-reading skills, but logical-mathematical, musical, socio-emotional skills, etc. Among some of those studies are those by Rasalingam, R. et al. (2014), Sırakaya, M. et al (2018), Fuadah, K. et all. (2018), Redondo, B. et al. (2019), Preka, G. et al. (2019).
